Outpatient Therapies for COVID-19

Hackensack Meridian Health is using COVID-19 outpatient treatments at multiple sites across the health network for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 under current scientific guidelines.

EVUSHELD for the Prevention of COVID-19

Hackensack Meridian Health is administering EVUSHELD for the prevention of COVID-19 in certain adults and children. Not everyone is eligible for EVUSHELD. Patients must meet certain criteria for EVUSHELD, including:

  • Not currently infected with COVID-19 and have not had recent known close contact with someone infected with COVID-19; and
    • Are moderately to severely immunocompromised due to a medical condition or immunosuppressive medicines; or
    • Are not recommended to receive the COVID-19 vaccine due to a history of severe adverse reaction.

Interested patients should speak with their providers about EVUSHELD to see if they qualify. Only providers can request EVUSHELD. Patients cannot request the therapy on their own.

EVUSHELD therapy is available for eligible patients at the following Hackensack Meridian Health locations:

  • Hackensack University Medical Center
  • JFK University Medical Center
  • Jersey Shore University Medical Center
  • Ocean University Medical Center
  • Southern Ocean Medical Center
